A hunter in the US has told the BBC how he shot an 800lb (360kg) alligator that was feasting on his farm's cattle.

Local legends passed down by the Paiute Indians tell of a race of giants who were exterminated by the tribe. It is said this was done by trapping the giants in a cave, shooting arrows at them, and then starting a large fire at the mouth of the cave. When the Lovelock Cave was later mined, many giant skeletons and artifacts were found in the area; there was also a large quantity of arrowheads found in the cave. Many of the artifacts were lost in a fire, but some of the skulls and artifacts are located at this museum.

You'll find a small, barely marked collection of the artifacts (arrowheads, etc.) on the second floor, in the display case by the window. The skulls themselves are kept in a back room, where the curator stores them out of view so as "not to offend the Indians." Ask her about the legend and she'll lead you downstairs to her office, where she keeps them unceremoniously lined up in a cabinet.

The majority of materials contained in the Humboldt Museum pertain to local Winnemucca history and include: antique cars, period clothing, furniture and valuables passed down by successful families. Most prominently displayed is the skeletal remains of a wooly mammoth found nearby.

150 million years old Human Bare Footprint @?@

1: In 1983 Professor Amanniyazov, Director of Turkmenia's Institute of Geology, reported what appeared to be human footprints in Mesozoic strata. "This spring, an expedition from the Institute of Geology of the Turkmen SSR Academy of Sciences led by found over 1,500 tracks left by dinosaurs in the mountains in the south-east of the Republic. Impressions resembling in shape a human footprint were discovered next to the tracks of the prehistoric animals." (Rubstsov, "Tracking Dinosaurs," Moscow News, No. 24, p. 10, 1983.) Dr. Amanniqazov was shocked beyond belief to find a human footprint mingled with dinosaurs. He discusses one of the footprints and says: "if we speak of the human footprint, it was made by a human or a human-like animal. Incredibly, this footprint is on the same plateau where there are dinosaur tracks. We can say the age of this footprint is not 5 or 10, but at least 150 million years old. It is 26cm long, that is Russian size 43 EEE [9.5 American], and we consider that whoever left the footprint was taller than we are...this would create a revolution in the science of man." There is also this fascinating quote from the Russian journalist, Alexander Bushev who investigated these trackways: "But the most mysterious fact is that among the footprints of dinosaurs, footprints of bare human feet were found...We know that humans appeared much later than dinosaurs - that there was an extraterrestrial who walked in his swimming suit along the sea side."

Official U.S. Navy Photos of Arctic UFOs Encounter LEAKED

A set of newly-released photos detail the U.S. Navy’s close encounter with an enormous UFO/USO.

The case was submitted to The Black Vault by researcher/investigator Alex Mistretta, who in turn got them from one of his anonymous sources in Europe. An interesting story is attached to these photos.

In March 1971, the USS Trepang, a Sturgeon Class attack submarine, was on a routine military and scientific mission at the edge of the Arctic Ocean.

The exact location of the sighting is unknown, but the submarine’s position was somewhere between Iceland and the Jan Mayen island in the Atlantic.

The unidentified object was first spotted through the periscope by an officer named John Kilika and the photos were taken by an unnamed officer. The quality of the photos is pretty good, which is uncommon in the field of ufology.

Mistretta’s source claimed there were a few annotations on the back of one of the photos: “Official photograph. Not to be released. CT.” and “Unauthorized Disclosure Subject. Security Certificate SSN 674. Criminal Sanction.”

While these inscriptions do not necessarily confirm the story, they make for an interesting addition.

SSN 674 was the official classification number given to the USS Trepang. Furthermore, the nuclear submarine was indeed in the area at that time.

  
The report also mentioned the presence of Admiral Dean Reynolds Sackett aboard the submarine, which can be verified here.

It is unclear whether the encounter involved two distinct UFOs or a single one capable of shape-shifting, but the photos appear to show two distinct objects, one shaped like a cylinder, the other like a triangle.

Unfortunately, more information regarding this interesting case is absent but we will present it if and when it becomes available.
